This is a skin and scoped mesh for Hyper the Phenomenal, a two-shot character from the Golden Age.

Hyper Mystery Comics was produced by Hyper Publications in Holyoke Massachusetts (wonder if there is any connection to Holyoke comics?). It ran two issues that I know of, but featuring Hyper the Phenomenal. Hyper is really scientist Don-Vin (is that a Kryptonian or a Coluan name?) who is a transcendent genius, physical marvel, and all around great guy. While I have seen references that he has no powers, he may be at the peak of human strength and endurance. His costume is armored (see the plate on the front?), His Negolas helmet allows him to fly, and his Magno-Hydro Gauntlets attract or deflect metallic substances (like bullets). He is shown on both covers as having a pistol of some sort, and even has a holster in one panel, but does not seem to use a hand weapon in the stories. For that matter, his costume changes from book to book and even panel to panel; this one is based on the cover of HMC #2. I couldn't bring myself to include the two long sparkly antennas (nor could I really figure out how to make them).

The art is signed by Reginald Greenwood, and really isn't too bad for 1940. The story is fairly complicated, involving spies and sabotage, the old closing wall trap (which may not have been quite so old at the time), spies and derring-do.

A Dark Jared base was used in the creation of this skin. Tommy supplied the base mesh and all the parts of the helmet (from Rama-Tut). You can get your Tom Versatile keyframes from:

This scope is for FF1, but seems to convert easily enough.

No infringement of copyright is intended; this is merely fan art.
